Hobo Nickel Paper Weight

This Hobo Nickel paperweight engraving was inspired by an original coin dated 1936, down to the hand engraved detail of “LIBERTY” which appears on the original nickel. The face of the President was carved into a skull with a beaten up old fedora atop his head. Hobo Nickels date back to the 18th century when altering the face of the President was a popular art form amongst hobos, creating a low cost (twas just a nickel) and patience to create this masterpiece.

Made from Solid Brass. Weighty, heavy, ready to keep your papers safe.
